Summer Schools are intellectual, but also – ideally – social events. As we are nearing our summer school now and as your are making travel plans we would like to offer a GRAINES couch for those who wish to stay for a day but wish to keep the budget low.

Jordan Girardin, PhD student at St Andrews and an “old” GRAINER, has kindly offered to host a guest (or two) in Edinburgh, near St Andrews Square, not too far off Waverley Station, c. 30mins to airport. Again, more to come under General Information.
As for the more social aspect but also for networking and an insight into our local economy, we would like to offer a tour to a recently opened micro-brewery, gin & whisky distillery for those interested early evening, Tuesday 8 June. Have a look at Eden.Mill. Eden.Mill is only a few miles out of St Andrews (by bus to Guardbridge) and one opportunity to spend the open evening. More information to come during the summer school.
